JPG to PDF: Best Practices for High-Quality Results
Updated · FlowToPDF Team
When converting images to PDF, small details like page size and margins matter. Here is how to get the best output from your JPG files.
Choosing the Right Page Size
When converting a JPG to PDF, you can choose between A4, Letter, Legal, or auto-fit. If you are creating a document to print, use A4 (Europe/international) or Letter (US). For digital-only viewing, Auto (fit image) works best.
Orientation
For landscape photos, select Landscape orientation. For portrait images or scanned documents, use Portrait (default).
Margins
Margins affect how much white space appears around your image:
- None: The image fills the entire page. Good for presentations.
- Small: A slight border. Recommended for most documents.
- Medium: Visible margins that look professional for printed reports.
Multiple Images into One PDF
You can upload up to 20 JPG images at once. They will be placed on separate pages in the order you upload them. Sort your images before uploading to ensure the correct page order.
Quality Considerations
FlowToPDF uses your original image resolution. For best print quality, use images of at least 150 DPI. For screen viewing, even lower-resolution images produce readable PDFs.
